Chapter 8 One look

It's my unofficial job"

Next day Natalie went to Isaac's room to check on him. She opened the door and saw him sitting  trying to button his shirt. She went to him, slapped his hand away lightly and then buttoned it up for him. Isaac gave her a grin as a thanks . 

"Come sit, let me have a look on your arm."

"Okay"

"It's getting better . Now let me go make you breakfast"

Isaac nodded as Natalie went to the kitchen . A few minutes later she came back with his food. Isaac looked at the tray in her hand and blinked at quantity of food.

"Natalie , how am I gonna eat this much food"

"You will, sit down"

Natalie said firm tone. Isaac sighed sat down on the chair. She placed the tray on the table which had fruits, sprouts, eggs, toast and beans. As he picked up the spoon , Natalie snatched it away , making Isaac look at her confused.

"You are left handed and you have a injury on it. How do you think you're gonna eat?"

Natalie brought the food filled spoon to his mouth waiting for him to eat. Isaac just looked at her , then chucked while shaking his head and opened his mouth to eat. 

When she was finished feeding him , more like stuffing his mouth with food forcefully . She gave him his pills. Natalie helped him up and made him lay on his bed , all the while Isaac groining that he was fine .

Isaac laid down begrudgingly as he rolled his eyes , slightly pouting as he didn't want to rest again . Natalie saw his pout and chuckled.

"Just for three days listen to me. You have lost a lot of blood"

Isaac nodded and closed his eyes. He opened them as he felt someone staring and saw  Natalie looking at him then the room then again him , making sure he was fine and didn't need anything.

"Pearl , what are you still doing here?"

"I have to take care of you "

"You have college"

"You have been badly injury"

"Pearl , I'm fine . The pills make me sleepy . I think I'll still be sleeping till you come back ."

"It's fine if I don't go for a day"

Isaac groaned .

Stubborn headed.

"GO TO COLLEGE "

"Okay okay geez. But please  keep your phone by your side and call me immediately. Ohh and a few members are here for your security and if you feel hungry —"

"Pearl god I'm fine . Don't worry , I'm not a baby"

"Really"

Natalie just smirked at his last sentence to tease him. Isaac saw that and narrowed his eyes, pointing  a finger at her , daring her to say otherwise, she just laughed at his antics.

"Okay then , take care ."

She kissed his forehead and turned around to leave.

"Ooh , I almost forgot." Isaac said

Natalie turned and saw him taking something out from his bedside drawer. He patted the bed for her to sit. She sat down next to him.

"Here , I actually went out yesterday to buy this gift for your new semester, I know how you love watches"

She opened the box and saw a beautiful golden rose watch with pearls embedded in the metal strap.

Pearls

Natalie smiled and hugged him saying thank you. And Isaac patted her head. Then she felt sad knowing how he got hurt later . It ignited a fury inside her , a promise to make them pay. She pulled back , wore the watch and stood up

"It's really beautiful, Isaac"

"All fine, Pearl. Now go before you're late."

Natalie went to her college in her black Audi , her first car she brought herself. She went inside and saw Amanda talking to a guy whose back was turned to her. She walked towards her. Amanda saw her coming and waved at her excitedly. This caused the guy to turn around as well and he froze looking at Natalie .

Is this girl real? 

Natalie smiled as she reached Amanda , who hugged her immediately, making her smile as she hugged her back. All the while ignoring the guy, who was still staring at her.

"Hey Amanda. Sorry for leaving suddenly yesterday"

Yesterday !!! she been here since yesterday, where the hell was I?

"Ooh, it's all fine."

"Okay , so let leave for our class then?"

"Yeah—" 

Amanda got interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat, indicating their presence. Amanda rolled her eyes and spoke in the most monotonous tone ever .

"This is my brother , Tyler"

Natalie looked at him, although she had it already figured it out when she saw Amanda talking to the guy, as she had an irritated look on her face yet adoration in her eyes , their body language told her that it must be that ho of a brother of hers , she mentioned yesterday.

Tyler quickly came forward and held Natalie's  hand as he kissed the back of it, expecting her to blush , but he jut saw Natalie looking at him with a straight face . She didn't like being touched by random guy like that .

"Hey , I'm Tyler . Amanda's brother." He spoke in a husky voice , thinking this I will make her swoon , but no , a big no.

Natalie just looked at him , gave him a sarcastic smile. But Tyler failed to observe that. She then saw Amanda who was eyeing him with a scowl over her face.

"I didn't catch your name" he spoke as he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears. 

Natalie raised a eyebrow at the action . She thought how quickly she could break those fingers of him . But she knew Amanda wouldn't really want that. She gave him a tight smile and tilted her head.

"Well, I didn't throw it"

Tyler stood there , dumbfounded. Amanda laughed loudly at his expression. Natalie just took her hand out of his grasp and went to the class with Amanda, leaving Tyler there .

 Wow ,  she really said that ,

Natalie sat in her seat next to Amanda , who was still couldn't stop chucking thinking of her brother's face.

"That was amazing Nat. But be careful I think he will come after you even more to make you fall for him"

Natalie just smiled and spoke.

"That won't happen"

it wasn't that she was playing hard to get or anything but she was just not interested in any relationship like that. For her , she wanted a partner , someone mature enough like her . Some she could count on and be counted on as well . Not someone who took all the problems alone , protecting 

her.  She was capable of that alone. She just someone to be with her for the long journey to share , who understood her. 

Someone difficult to find 

~But you never know what fate has in store for you.

Just Then as the professor was about to speak the door burst open and there stood a guy in blue jeans and a white v-necked t-shirt wearing  a silver cross dangling around his neck , stone cold dark brown eyes and no emotion on face.

Adrian Smirnov

"Just in time , come in". The professor said.

Adrian nodded slightly . He was a man of morals and respected his teachers highly . He went in the class and started walking towards the empty seat in the front row. But suddenly he felt a change in air as he walked closer , of  a distinct presence  and he looked at the person behind his seat.

Natalie heard someone  walking toward them, she would have ignored it but this time it was as if this person had an aura which made their  presence felt and dominating over others , making her look up . 

They both looked at each other .

One look was all it took for her eyes to turn cold .

One look was all it took for him to glare back.

One look was all it took for her to remember his injury.

One look was all it took for him to remember his loss.

One look was all it took as she started to think of ways to kill him.

One look was all it took for him to think of ways to destroy her.

This one look which would one day change completely.......
