"Baaa....be," The tall, shapely blonde-haired girl, also known as my best friend let out a high pitched squeal as she sighted me. I smiled in amusement at her enthusiasm.

Trudging further into the room, I struggled to maintain my posture as she launched herself onto me, catching me unawares and before I knew it, we were tumbling to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

She rolled off me, smiling sheepishly as she stretched out her arms to help me up.

I took her outstretched hand, sending her a glare as she pulled me up from the floor.

Soon enough, we were laughing hard and clutching our sides at our clumsiness.

"Guess who's walking down the aisle today?" She quipped in excitement.

Feigning ignorance, I tapped my chin in mock confusion. "I don't know, you tell me."

"Idiot." She giggled.

Sobering up, I spoke with all seriousness, "I'm so going to miss you. That apartment would be empty and there will be no one to remind me not to skip my meals." 

Sighing deeply, I recalled how Ella and I became friends. We attended the same high school, she was this tall, beautiful, and smart girl with electric blue eyes while I was the shy, lonely kid who did not know how to make friends until that certain day. For someone so beautiful, you'd expect her to be some stuck up snob but that one day in an English class changed my opinion. 

She took the seat beside me and was all happy-go-lucky so we hit it off immediately and from then on we became inseparable and even attended the same college but we took different majors; I took medicine and she took law.

Ella was always there for me, she took care of me like an elder sister which I never had and was very protective too. I'm really grateful to God for bringing her into my life. 

"Awwww, I'll miss you too," She cooed and I snorted.

"We both know that's a lie. Drew would keep you so busy that you won't even have the time to miss anybody." 

She swatted the back of my head, blushing in embarrassment, "You dirty-minded brat." 

Daniella and Andrew Stephano had been dating since our early college days and I loved their relationship. Drew is and had always been one really nice guy, calm and patient. He's like a brother to me and he treats Ella like a queen. Their marriage to me was a big yes as I couldn't see a better person for her. I was so happy when he proposed to her so I kept looking forward to their big day, and here it was.

Sincerely, I was envious of Ella. Not everyone had luck when it came to relationships. I'm a living, breathing example of that.

"What can I do? I learned from the best," I uttered in a smug tone, dodging her fast hands that were on another journey to the back of my head.

"Wedding's in an hour don't wanna be late, come on it's time to dress up," She said, grabbing my hand and pulling me along with her to the dressing room.

10 minutes later the make-up crew arrived for the makeover and the rest of the bridal train came in.

The wedding colors were wine and silver, Ella's favorite colors.

Being the chief bride's maid, I wore a wine-colored one-shouldered mermaid style dress, with sequins on the torso and satin from my waist down and a slit at the front from about two inches above my knees down.

My shoes were silver-colored strappy 6-inch stilettos making me taller than my five foot three stature. Silver droplet earrings were clipped to my shell-like ears without a necklace as I preferred leaving my neck bare.

My waist-length brunette hair was swept into a classy bun with few tendrils hanging at the sides of my face, the makeup was light but well done and I couldn't deny the fact that I looked really beautiful. 

As for the rest of the bridal train, they were clad in silver-colored off shouldered gowns with wine-colored heels accessories to go with it. 

They all proceeded to enter the limo that was parked in front of the hotel entrance used to prepare for the event while Ella and I entered the white land rover specially reserved for the bride and chief bride's maid.

She looked quite nervous, but she was still looking really breathtaking. Sure, this was going to be a very special event, not only for her but for me too.

"You nervous?" I whispered, grabbing her sweaty palms.

"Yeah," She nodded in affirmative.

"There's no need to be. You'll be getting married to the love of your life so why are you nervous? Drew knows all your flaws and still wants to be with you and vice versa but even in your imperfections I believe your marriage would be a happy one filled with lots of love and something beautiful would come out of it.

Now you would enter that hall and enjoy every second of today and the night package too, you understand?"  I winked suggestively as I made the last statement.

"Ouch, what was that for? I was only advising you," I hissed as for the third time that day, she attempted swatting the back of my head. Twice of which she succeeded.

"I wonder how your kids will cope with your swift hands. Bitch." I muttered grumpily.

"Heard that." She chirped with a smile.

"It was meant for you to hear," I retorted, mimicking her tone. "I just hope to become a godmother by the end of the year though." 

"You wouldn't just let this slide no?? 

"Never," I chanted with determination. 

She groaned in response after which we continued to bicker back and forth.

Sure, this was going to be a very special event, not only for her but for me too.
