Chapter 01

The water waves felt too good as I swam further with my father through the warm waters never expecting that anything wrong could happen in Lagos beach.

Pathetic me.

My dad released my hand and as usual I swam to get a higher wavelength that I could use to show my skills to him but suddenly as I turned back, he disappeared.

I looked to my left and a wave of water rushed over my face and I swam up the waters to find my loving father who was just next to me.

I turned to my right to look for him as my heart began to pound really fast to the fact that my father wasn't with me anymore with blood surrounding me.

I started to cry as I shivered in fear.

"Dad?" I called out for him as I swam about to find him but soon decided to deep myself into the water so I could see.

It was my dad who was supposed to be on his swimming wear with golden armor all over his body like some sort of god.

His hair turned golden white and as well glowing so bright with a kind of presence over it and I could not help it but feel amazed.

A lady tried swimming my direction and fear gripped the shit out of me because she seemed to be comfortable underwater and she had a black tail that creeped me out too,

Was she really a mermaid or dressed up in some costume?

"Stay away from my daughter Zerba!" My dad says angrily as his dark chocolate looking skin began to glitter underwater,

I swam up to get air and when I descended myself in again... I Screamed in fear as I saw two monsters with sharp horns rushing towards where my father and I were Located.

"Oliver! Stay right behind me" he says holding a staff that looked exactly like the one that was carved in the necklace he had given to me before all these weird occurrences,

He rushed fighting the beast with blood rushing from under the ocean to the surface where I surely was now.

I screamed for the safeguard officers to come to save me but we were too far away from the shore for them to hear my voice.

I swam through the water surprised that my dad acted unreal and supernatural.

He was underwater like he was on land breathing perfectly... I guess as my next turn met my worst nightmare.

I couldn't take all that was happening around me so easily so I started swimming away to the shores but I heard my name from behind me strongly.

I turned to see Zerba swimming towards my direction, she looked nothing like a human because of the scales and black snake-like fishtail she used to swim towards me.

"As the prophecy says, I Zerba would rule the waters of the world but there is someone else that I have to put an end to... You Oliver! On the other hand, is my opposition" she says raising me with water but then ice rushed out from the waters hitting her away from me.

My hot looking Nigerian daddy wasn't going to let someone hurt his beautiful daughter at all.

Zerba disappeared and I could see the confusion my dad had in his every reaction as he stared about the waters.

"His royal water emperor, you know that you can't kill me or stop me right?" Zerba said evilly.

"This is destiny! It is the prophecy and there is nothing you can do about it!" She says as she from nowhere grabs me and swims away like she is some sort of flash.

"Mummy!" I screamed for my mum as I am beginning to classify my dad and every other creature present here as weird.

She dropped me over the water and I couldn't swim as the waters raised me up to her and she smiled evilly with her teeth that were razor sharp and long like some sort of evil demon since her head looked almost human-like too but demonic.

The horror was just too much for me to experience at once.

Her fingers which possessed dark claws with blue glowing lines that were raised angrily like she wanted to slap the life out of me.

I looked out from her shoulders to see my dad from Afar.

He looked like he wanted to do something but at the same time, he was doing nothing to save me at this point.

I closed my eyes waiting for her to finish whatever she wanted to do with me but when I opened my eyes I saw something else.

The waves raised so high with my dad in it.

I saw him turn into water as the waves rose slowly and when crashing through us he trapped Zerba in some sort of water cage that sank deep into the ocean.

"I shall return!" She screamed and I screamed as well as the hard wave that had hit me and Zerba tumbled me with my body and senses going crazy already.

I got turned by the waves and I hit my head hard to a rock beneath the ocean.

I saw my blood rush slowly out of my head.

With my body slowly drowning with no energy to swim up but my dad swims towards me with white shark and takes me to the surface wearing me a bracelet.

"I'd always be with you Oliver, take her to the shores," my dad says to a white shark that was by my right-hand side.

I couldn't scream as I felt the weirdness of all the things around me was all some sort of dream or imaginations due to the power of the fantasy occurrences.

My body began to weaken slowly to the horror of it all, the ocean had turned blood red and not even the safeguard officers knew about this at all.

I felt dragged away to the shore and I knew what was taking me to the shores.

A white shark!

I closed my eyes finally as the last energy in me disappeared slowly from my body but I knew I had to open my eyes the soonest.

I crawled out of the waters and most people ran away from the horrific look of thick blood all over me.

But common! I'm just a ten years old cutie!

I could only see a blur and then the exact vibration of my mum was felt by me and I turned to see her running towards me.

"Oliver, what happened to you?" 

"Why are you covered in blood?"

"Where is your father?" She asked me speedily and I began to cry thinking about what happened to him as well... Did he sacrifice himself for me?

My questions to myself and that of my mum was driving me crazy all of a sudden cause I just needed rest at this point.

I held her tightly as weak feelings rushed through my body at once with my eyes closing and when I woke up in shock of the nightmare which I always dream of even now that I am just turning eighteen.

I found it difficult to believe that all that was a dream or a childhood imagination of mine.

All I crave is to be with my loving father in the ocean again so that the darkness of that day will not shut my eyes anymore.
