13. Moving With the Rythm
Author: Angela Lynn CarverSaturday came and I picked out a cute yet sexy outfit. I knew this time Jessica won't be the third wheel because no-one in their right mind would invite a middle schooler to a high school party. Especially a one that is going to be hosted by a senior.
He finally arrived so I went downstairs excitedly.
"I thought Tony would be here to pick you up too," Anthony said when I got inside his car.
"Huh? Why should he?" I was confused.
"It kind of looked like you two were close," he said.
"No way! I like to stay as far away from him as possible." I shook my head.
"I see," Anthony said and went quiet. Oh God, I hope he doesn't think something was going on between me and Tony.
Thankfully, I didn't see Tony anywhere when we arrived at the party. He either didn't come or, busy making out with his latest conquest somewhere. Either way, I was glad not to see him.
Things were going well. Anthony and I finally had the chance to talk and get to know each other. Until someone decided to raid Amy's dad's liquor cabinet.
"Who wants to do shots!" some random kid shouted.
I've always been cautious about drinking at parties. But tonight, I threw the caution in the wind. I don't know why. Maybe because I was nervous.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Anthony asked and looked at my shot glass.
"Oh yeah, what's a party without shots?" I said and poured it down my throat.
Everything went downhill from there.
I took a couple of more shots then someone handed me a drink that tasted like death. After that, I was done for.
"Summer I think you should stop," Anthony finally said something and took the drink away from me.
"Did anyone ever tell you you have the prettiest eyes?" I said and gave him the googly eyes.
He chuckled. "Thanks for the compliment. But I think you are really drunk. Your dads going to kill you if he finds out," he shook his head.
"He'll never find out because you will never tell. You are a good boy," I said.
"He sure is," a guy with a deep voice agreed with me. I looked at him and it was none other than Tony aka evil Anthony. Great...I'm too drunk to deal with him now.
"Looking good Summer!" he smirked.
"Oh look, if it isn't the manwhore. Who is your victim tonight?" I said.
"Hey Tony," Anthony said.
"I think your girlfriend is drunk Anthony, you better take her home," Tony smirked.
"You...you're drunk you idiot!" I declared.
"I think you might be right," Anthony agreed with Tony. "Let's go, Summer," he said and tried to grab my hand.
"NO! I wanna dance!" I announced and stumbled toward the middle of the room where people were dancing.
"Wait, Summer!" Anthony called behind me but I ignored him. I must impress him with my dancing skills.
But Alas, I forgot all of my moves and started to flail around like a madwoman.
"Yasss! Shake that booty girl!" I heard Tony yell from across the room.
"Summer! What are you doing?" Anthony cried and tried to grab me again.
And that's when I messed up even more. My self-defense mode came on. I turned around and punched him on the nose.
