6. THE PARTY

Aria dressed up for her event tonight. One of her friends had signed to dance for an inauguration party. Due to her bad health, she asked Aria to fill in. The event starts at 9.00 pm. Aria alone cannot drive this long so Sam said she will drop her. Aria reached the spot on time.

“Call me when you are done, I will come and pick you. You don’t have to take the taxi” Sam said and left.

The party had started. She went to the dressing room, changed into her costume, blue chiffon Latin dancing dress. Aria looked beautiful on it. She was accompanied by her partner onto the stage. They were performing on Million miles away. Her moves are perfect. Everyone on the floor was watching her. Her bent, her long slender legs, her perfect curves Austin couldn’t take his eyes off her. He looked at her eyes. Their eyes met. He is really beautiful, She looked very clean to him.

“Do you like her?” Austin heard this sound from his back.

“No, I am just looking. She got good moves”

“I saw the way you look at her” They both smile at each other.

“Do you know her?” Austin asked

“Personally not, but I arranged this program. I once talked with her on phone.

“That nice, she is a good dancer”

“Yes man I agree, If you want I can connect you with her. You know they are easy to catch”

“No buddy no thanks”

He looked at her again. She is enjoying the dance. She absorbs the feel of the music.

After her performance, Aria went to the dressing room to change. She put on her Shorts, sleeveless top, and sneakers. She took her phone and called Sam. Sam said she will arrive within 30 minutes. To kill her time she decided to step outside and enjoy the party. Since she doesn’t know anybody she sat at a corner table and grabbed a drink. She unlocked her phone, there were some Instagram messages. She replied to them while having the beer. It’s been 30 minutes there is no sight of Sam so she decided to call her.

“Sam, where are you?”

“Ana I’m stuck in the traffic. I think I will take another 30 minutes to reach there.”

“Shit. I will wait. When you reach here to give me a call”

Aria went to grab another drink. She was standing at the bar. She lazily turned back, bumped into a good looking man.

“What the fuck” he said in loud. He grabbed the attention of the people around 

“I am extremely sorry. I didn’t say you” she replied in fear.

“I was standing behind you and you didn’t saw me?” He burst out

“Exactly you were behind me so didn’t say you”

“You were the one dancing on the floor right, I knew this kind of girls. You need a chance”

She amused to hear this. Austin came back to the hall after his call. He saw that Aria is in trouble. So he rushed in.

“What is the problem? Austin asked

“Well friend, I said to you before these kinds of women are the same. They are waiting for opportunities. She could have approached me without staining my dress. She seems to be sexy, how would I say no to her.” Both Aria and Austin surprised to hear that

“What did you just said? Mr you were standing behind me. I swear I didn’t saw you. How dare you question character?

“Wow, your performance has finished why you are still at the party?” He asked

“I am waiting for my friend to pick me”

“Stop it. She said she didn’t saw you then why you are accusing her. Let her go?” Austin said.

“Oh, now you have a defender sexy. I saw the way you look at her. You were eating her. If you like her, take it. I don’t need her. I am off for you” he said and left

Austin and Aria looked at each other.

“See, I didn’t mean that. I was just..” “Stop it” Aria interrupted. “I know all you are the same,” she said in anger and went outside.

Austin was stunned to hear that so he followed her.

“Lady, what did you mean by that? All men are the same?

“Means you all think women the like commodities, a material for pleasure. Don’t you have any respect? God knows how your parents taught you”

Austin filled with anger. He pulled Aria to his hands. He squeezed her arms tightly. She felt immense pain in her hands. She saw the burning fire in his bluish-grey eyes. At that moment she felt she said something wrong. He came to help her. But she even accused her parents of believing in the words of a scoundrel. She felt bad.

“Excuse me, you are hurting me. I am sorry for what I said”

“let it be how dare you to talk to me like that? “

“I said sorry, I cannot hold this pain. Leave me.”

Austin was roaring with anger. He looked at the slender face. He saw the pain in her eyes. The pain gave him relief. But the words she said roared in his head, about his parents. He wanted to see more pain in her eyes so he decided to kiss her. He leaned on her and kissed her lips tightly. Aria was not expecting this. Adrenaline rushed to her brain. With immense power, she pushed him, simultaneously slapped him on his cheeks. Austin roared with anger. He did not think she will respond this way. Austin grabbed her hand. But Aria kicked his chest. He fell. At that moment she ran over to the streets. When Austin got up he couldn’t see any sight of her. He checked both sides but no sight of her. With anger, he punched the pillar.

How dare she hit me, who think she is? Merely a dancer. I will teach you how to behave. He thought in mind.

“Sam, can you pick me from the 2nd street telephone booth”

“Why? What happened? “

“I left the place early, Its a long story will tell you later come fast” she hunged up the phone

After 15 minutes Sam reached the booth. Aria hurried into the car.

“Ana, are you okay? What happened? You look frightened”

“Sam, please hug me” Aria extended her hands. They hugged for 2 minutes.

“Let us go from here,” Aria told. Sam drove

“Will you tell me what happened?”

Aria explained everything in detail to Sam

“Oh my God. Who the hell is he? How can he touch you without your permission” She asked in furious

“I don’t know, he looked so intimidating?

“But Ana, he tried to save you from the other guy. I think he did this in anger, you provoked him to do that”

“Me how? can you please explain?” She looked at Sam with anger

“Well. You stepped out of your line by questioning his parents.”

“I agree that’s why I said sorry but how can he touch me. How can he kiss me?

“Forget it dear, he didn’t do any harm to you. It was just a kiss. Well, your first kiss right Ana” She teased her.

“Woah Sam, here I am telling you my terrible experience and you only care about my first kiss? Really? Aria burst out

“Don’t fire on me, I said the truth. This is your first kiss” Sam smiled

“Stop it. Concentrate on the road”
