Perfect guy

Her words caused him to start laughing instantly. It was humourless. Nonetheless, it had no effect on Yura's mood.

"You are here to see me? Are you planning to mock and laugh at my current state? You must be feeling quite smug to see me this way, right? After all, you managed to win at the end," he said.

"You are right," she responded, "I did win, but I don't feel smug nor do I feel the need to mock at you. I don't even feel pity towards you.

My emotions towards you are quite complicated, but I don't hate you. Actually, I am grateful. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to see the true faces of so many people. 

So, thank you. What they did to me can't compare to what you did to me. In fact, you helped me to see the bigger picture," she honestly confessed.

A look of disbelief was present in his eyes, and she knew that it was reasonable for him to feel this away about her words.

Her right hand which held on to a lollipop was extended towards him, and she vocalised, "Here take it. This used to be your favourite."

A mocking chuckle left his mouth due to that, and accepting the lollipop from her hand, he stared at it. 

He then said, "Are you pitying me right now or making fun of me?"

"I already told you that it is neither of that. It common courtesy to bring gifts when visiting someone."

A scoff left his mouth while he removed the wrapper off the lollipop and placed it mouth. As he sucked on it, he took himself to be a joke right that instant.

"Wouldn't that Ryu Yejoon be angry if he sees you here, visiting your ex-boyfriend? Moreover, this place is too low for your taste."

"Oh! Both of us did not have a romantic relationship in the first place. 

All we had was our mutual hatred towards you. Now that everything is settled, we are back to our own life."

Bringing his face closer to her, he vocalised, "Without his protection, aren't you afraid that I will do something to you right now? You know better than everyone how much of a scumbag I am."

A glint appeared in his eyes right then, and maintaining a composed countenance, she said, "That would be quite unfortunate. If I get angry, I will probably plan another revenge on you."

"Leave," he said, "I don't care what your intentions for being at here is, but right now, the last person I want to see is you. This feels totally disgusting."

She nodded her head and stated, "Yeah, I will do that if you are displeased, but I will come to visit you next time."

He was baffled while he stared at how she turned her back on him and started to walk. Laughs escaped from his mouth since that is not how he wanted the things to be.

Looking back at him, she added, "You know, I spared you at the end because I wanted you to start anew. I didn't want you to ruin your life like that."

"Min Yura, do you know how infuriating it is right now for me? I badly want to kill you at this moment, but my feelings towards you are holding me back. 

If I could have power again, I will imprison and keep you to myself. For all the times you have humiliated me, I will be punishing you and love you at the end of it."

She smiled and responded, "You know, it's not too late for you to stand on your legs and do that. I will be waiting for it."

Finally, she had left, and he fell back on the ground. While he ran his hand through his hair, he felt quite pathetic because of how things went.

As Yura flipped the meat, Mirae raised her chopsticks to pick a piece of it. Both of them were currently at a restaurant close to their apartments.

"Yura, wow! That was an amazing reaction! It seems that you have really let go of the past, but aren't you scared that he will be doing something to you? Even now, he seems to be quite infatuated with you." Mirae voiced out her concerns.

"Then, it would be sad I suppose. You know, when I took the decision of giving him this freedom, I have considered both the positive and negative sides to it. 

That means that I am ready to bear the consequences if things go wrong," she vocalised, "Moreover, the only thing he did wrong was being infatuated with me."

"You turned really strange, Yura. I swear you did," she voiced out, "But as long as you are happy, I guess it's fine. Do whatever you want."

"What do you mean strange? I was always like this," Yura stated, "Don't you think that I am quite unique. That's how I feel about myself right now."

Mirae stared at Yura with a blank expression while she expressed, "I just got the goosebumps right now. Don't tell me that you are doing all of this to be unique."

She chuckled and commented, "You are still so cute as ever, Mirae. Since you are being this adorable, this is my treat, alright? Eat as much as you want."

"Tch! Feed me to something expensive then," Mirae replied. "What are you planning to do right now though? 

I get that you want to have a vacation, but you have the entire life before you. You should start planning for it. If you want to get married, I will prepare blind dates for you."

"Forget about blind dates. I want to marry a handsome and rich guy," she said, "Do you think those kind of perfect guys will show up at the blind date? Maybe I will search for love before starting work."

"You know, I thought that you will be too hesitant to love someone after how things went, but I am glad that's not the case."

"I told you that I consider the past nothing but a eventful and probably helpful memory to me."
