[ Chapter 3: Family ]

Early in the morning, the sun shines.

: Ring! Ring! Ring!

The clock is ringing.

Leah tapped the clock and woke up. By slowly opening her eyes, she yawned with her arm raised. She looked at the ceiling, but she is lazy to stand up.

: Leah!

Someone called her. It was her brother, Lance.

: 5 minutes!

Leah called back.

: Leah!!

Lance called her again. But it was louder than the first call.

: I know!!

Leah called back again.

: You're late!!!

Lance shouted to her again. But it was louder than the second call.

Upon hearing that voice louder, filled with anger Leah stood up but stayed at her bed.

: I'm going!

Leah answered and jumped out of bed. In her pajamas, purple too. She hurriedly folds her blanket and pillow. She ran outside and grabbed her shoes.

Before going downstairs, Leah ran back to her room. She took her towel and a small box. Then she headed to the bathroom.

As Leah stepped inside, she took a bath. Then time passed by, she wore a towel and looked at the mirror hanging from her side. She stood next to it and opened her eyes. Then she took a small box, she tapped it gently and opened.

[A thin piece of round plastic that is worn on the eye to improve your vision or simply, they can be worn to correct your vision or for cosmetic and beneficial reasons.]

Putting the contacts in her eyes, Leah gently wore it. After that, she ran upstairs and went back to her room. Then she wandered around and opened her closet.

Inside that closet, there are too many outfits and clothes but there is a suit that differed from the rest. It was a yellow uniform with a badge in the left corner of the chest.

[NISU] or Northern Ishin State University for college or, formerly known as [NIPSC], Northern Ishin Polytechnic State College.]

[It can be found in South Korea. It is considered as one of the most prestigious higher education and institutions’ in South Korea. [NISU] offers students different kinds of path and dreams. [NISU] gives a chance to everyone to study in one of the best university since the foundation of the South Korea. [NISU] ranks as one of the best university among universities in the whole South Korea. The [NISU] universities are divided into 4 campuses.]

[The main campus, [NISU] is grounded in Northern Seoul or, [NORTH NISU]. It consists of more than 40 buildings catering thousands of students and staff. Other than that, there are [WEST NISU], [EAST NISU] and [SOUTH NISU]. The place has its own bus station.]

But Leah lived in town, Incheon town. It is where Leah Su lived. She lived 2 kilometers away from her school. Then she wore her uniforms, until she finishes her outfit. She took her bag and closed the windows and she went out of her room while closing and locked the door before she leaves.

: I am so excited! I cannot wait to see my friends again!

Leah cheered as she tapped her heel.

: Leah?

Someone called her.

: Brother!

Leah called back.

[Lance Su]

Age: 28

Height: 5’9

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Black

Lance Su, the only brother of Leah Su and no other than him. He is a 28-year-old man, married. He, who wore a black office suit made a smile. He is handsome, filled with love. Lance is a good man. He protects, he cares, and most of all he is not a pervert.

Then Leah ran at him. Hugged him and kissed him on his cheek.

: Thank you, brother!

Leah said with a smile.

: The food is ready Leah. If you stay here longer then, don't forget...

Lance said but stopped halfway without continuing his words.

: I know. I'll be late for class.

Leah replied back. She said it with an annoyed face.

: Let's go?

Lance suggested.

: Hmmm!

Leah nodded.

Then, they went downstairs and reached the diner and moved to the cooking area.

: Sister!

Leah called. Leah saw her sister, Anna.

[Anna Su]

Age: 28

Height: 5’6

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Black

Anna Su, the wife of Lance Su. She is a beautiful woman. Her hair is short and her eyes are pretty too. She wore her white apron because she was the cook. Anna is cooking their breakfast.

Then Leah ran at her. Leah hugged and kissed her on her cheek. Then both of the girls parted from their hugs. Then someone came in.

: Come on, you two.

Anna called. She called the boys.

Two little figures in pajamas walked in. The two boys in dotted white pajamas.

[Lector and Leo]

Age: 4

Height: 3’7

Eyes: Brown

Hair: White

These two kids are Lector and Leo, a twin. Lance and Anna sons. They are very cute and Leah liked them so much.

: Mom!

Both happily called their mom.

However, Leah ran to them first and kissed them both. Her little brothers smiled.

Then Anna prepared the food for them. Then time passed by. On the dining table, dishes are dined. There are soup, rice, fried eggs, milk and banana.

Then the Su family ate.

Leah who ate7 happily was called by.

: Leah, can we talk?

Her brother asked.

: Yes?

Leah replied to him.

: What is the problem, Leah? Why are you making noise every night? Is that because of your school projects?

Lance asked her.

: Well...yes?

Leah replied with a gloomy face. She wore a sad face. Then she remembered something.

: Is it true?

Leah thought differently. She still remembered what happened to her last night. However, it was unbelievable and she can't find it believable.

When Lance and Anna saw her, their heart melts. They misinterpreted her thoughts.

: It's okay, Leah.

Anna comforted her.

: Don't worry, it's just a trial. College life is more serious than you think. Focus on your studies. Thank you. You have a supportive brother.

Anna added. Then she looked at Lance while saying his name.

: Lance?

Lance gulped his soup first.

: Well...

: Don't worry Leah, we will always support you. Is it your dream to become a teacher? Isn't it? Leah, you will reach it someday. God is with us, right sweetie?

Lance said carefully while looking at Leah.

: Yes, Leah. We will always support you.

Anna supported her too.

: Yes, I hope so.

Leah said with a smile but her eyes are very worried.

Then the Su family finished eating.

Outside of their house, Leah and Lance stood at the white van.

: Bye, Leah.

: Bye, Hon.

: Bye, bye, big sister

: Bye, bye, Dad.

Anna and her kids said their goodbyes.

: Bye, Little brothers.

: Take good care sweetie and our kids too.

Leah and Lance said and paved their goodbyes too. Everyone wave a goodbye to each other.

Leah and Lance stood beside the van.

: Are you ready?

Lance asked her.

: Yes, that's right! I am ready!

Leah replied energetically. She, who wore a smile replied. Then she thought of her friends.

: I want to see them again.

: What are my friends doing this time? Did they study a lot too? I think it was a pain for them.

: My friends... I can do it! We will do our best and support each other.

: To our future!

Leah thought this with excitement.

Then the van set off.

Leah, who is inside the van looked at the crystal shield and thought of what awaits her at NISU.

: When will the classes end again?

Leah thought and pondered the rest. Then the van stopped when beeps rang outside.

: Beep! Beep!

Lance horned too.

: Ah, traffic!

Lance grumbled as he stopped in the middle of the road. However, Leah didn’t care about the traffic. Then she polished the crystal shield.

She saw a traffic jam.

Leah didn’t expect this worst traffic.

: I am late!
