Chapter - 3 Saving the Damsel

After two hours....

As Qingxi was driving her car towards the airport she saw a man a bit older than her running as if his life depended on it, trying to hide inside a nearby park. 

One would have failed to notice easily, but being a die hard fan of action and thriller movies she could easily see, there was a wound on his abdomen that was bleeding profusely making him stumble often while running. 

She slowed her car a bit so that she doesn't look suspicious or anything after she and saw few men chasing the man with knives in their hand. 

Seeing how there was no one near, who could help that man out of this misery she debated whether she should help him or not.

Not thinking much into things she decided to help that man. She understood the despair one feels when you are at your wits end and there is no one to help.

She turned her wheel towards the street walk, towards the park where the man was running near the entry of the park.

She stopped her car pulling on the breaks making a screeching sound, before casually walking around the car as if waiting for someone.

The mens that were chasing that guy stopped near her hiding their knives from her view and asked father politely,

"Hey little girl. Have you seen a man dressed in blue shirt and black pants. He stole the wallet of one of our man and ran in this direction." 

It was clear from their words that these were not normal pocket pickers or roadside robbers, they were clearly assassinators who were assigned the task of killing that man, if not they would have started threatening her the first thing they looked at her.

"Sorry, as you must have noticed I just got off my car. My friend will be arriving here anytime and that's why I am waiting here. It's such a petty that people nowadays steal money rather than working hard for it. Look how much that man made you run in this scorching summer. Here, have some water." The girl said humbly.

Her words were so smooth and appealing that none of them suspected anything strange.

"Thanks, but we'll continue searching for that man." The one that spoke earlier said again. As soon as those men were out of sight she ran towards the man and dragged him towards her car.

She looked ahead and could vaguely see those mens returning on their side again.

Before waiting for the men to notice her, she pushed the man on the back seat of the car, and started the engine making a bee line towards hospital.

She looked in the rear view mirror and saw the man groaning with pain. "Sorry about earlier. If I hadn't pulled you fast then they would've killed us both." She said.

Earlier when she had pushed him inside the car, it was not at all how she thought it would be. She wasn't considering much and the push which she had intended to be smooth turned out too rough for her liking. 

She had caused the man to bump his head on the window, which given his condition, must have been really painful.

After reaching hospital she called the doctor to attend to him. Since, she had found the man and filled on his details under her name, she had to wait till the operation was done. Unfortunately she had to use the money in her card for form filling and all that stuff, since the whereabouts of the man were still unknown.

After some time, she saw some commotion in the corridor where doctors were running around the operation theatre of that man.

It looked like the hospital staff knew who the man was and thus, they called his family after the operation. Soon she saw, few men dressed in black entering the corridor as the elevator opened.

What was with her meeting weird men again and again today.

"Miss was it you, who had brought our young master here?" A man who was quite different in his dressing from other four asked her.

"Yes, it was me. Are you family or friend?" She asked back.

Since she had found him being chased, what if these people belonged to the enemy side, and once she left, they'll try to kill him again.

"Okay. I am his secretary. Thank you soo much miss for your consideration, if it wasn't for you, god knows what would have happened to our young master. We will forever appreciate your kindness." The man said again bowing respectfully.

After confirming that these were indeed friends and not foe, she picked her handbag, wanting to leave the place. She had decided to meet all her brothers one last time before leaving the country, but this incident held her back and now she doesn't have enough time left for her to go there and meet them.

She had already called one of her brothers to send a man or some helper from his organisation to pick her car from airport after she'll leave it there.

"Where are you going miss? Please wait till our master wakes up. He will surely want to meet the lady who saved his life." Secretary said smiling politely.

"I saved your so called master's life. Isn't it enough? Now you want me to stay too? Who is he exactly? Look I know it sounds a bit rude but I have a urgent flight to catch. If it wasn't for my conscience who forced me to save this damsel in distress, I wouldn't have ever meddled with someone else's business." She asked getting annoyed. Who wants to meet this so called master.

With the amount of attention this master was having, it was clear that he was one of the rich spoiled brats.

"I didn't mean it that way miss. But our master have a habbit to not keep anybody's favour. If you don't want to stay till master's awake and makes the decision on how to repay you. How about I pay you with money? This way we both will be clear." Secretary suggested smiling as politely as he could.

But to Qingxi, it was like an insult. Wasn't it money because of what her sister had stabbed her, behind her back by seeing Gao Ying.

Brother Gao Ying who was the young master of Gao family who have deep roots in entertainment business was considered as the next heir. It was obvious why Xialing had gone to great lengths of seducing him. 

Everything in her life had turned out miserable because of this money only.

"If your master has a habbit of repaying everything. Then I have saved his life, shouldn't he repay me with his life. Or he can also act like a damsel in distress he is and repay me with himself. The choice will be his. And if he isn't satisfied just by that, then ask him to be a real man and save someone else in need." Qingxi said before taking a sharp turn in the direction of the lift. 

She didn't knew why she felt a sudden urge to strangle this young master who was probably one of those guys who spoil their lives enjoying their parents hard earned money.

Everyone around the secretary gasped after seeing the girl's attitude and hearing her unfiltered words.

Secretary himself could see a headache coming. 'What would the master think on the damsel insult that girl threw at him?' Secretary slightly laughed before coughing to hide his smile from the bodyguards.

Qingxi reached the airport just in time boarding the plane to leave the country for good.

"I'll be back China for sure. And I'll make everyone pay for their deeds." She muttered before saying goodbye to the country.
