"INKA!"
I turned around as I saw Nova running towards me. I smiled at her and raised my wine glass as an offering but she shook her head.
"Yup?" I asked
"I just missed you!" She exclaimed and hugged me. I laughed, silly girl. We just saw each other yesterday.
"Anyway, I just noticed that the man over there keeps looking at you. Do you perhaps know that man?" She whispered
I discreetly turned to the way she pointed and saw a really hot guy. He is looking at my direction.
"Uhh No, I don’t know this guy." I told Nova and looked at her. She nodded and shrugged her shoulders.
"Well?" She teased and I was suddenly confused.
"Well what?"
"Well! Congrats of course!"
I laughed and thanked her.
"This wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for you. You know that." I said to her and smiled.
"Babe, this dinner party is a gift for your another successful career. Like hello, you already have what? A LOT of bar and restaurant branch around the globe. " She said, I humbly shook my head and smiled.
It took me years to achieve this and my pain were the one that made me keep pushing.
"You won’t be successful because of your face!"
"You can’t even do a simple thing!"
"You're pathetic!"
A lot of people had belittled me, a lot of them never believed that I can be successful and now here I am.
"Inka! Earth to Inka!"
I jumped back to reality when I heard Nova’s shouting voice. I looked at her confused as she rolled her eyes.
"Really, Inka? Daydreaming again?"
I laughed and shook my head.
"Sorry, I just suddenly realized that I had achieved this far already. Can’t you believe it?"
She smiled and looked around the place. A lot of Business Men, CEO and High Class people are in this dinner to celebrate the another successful branch opening at Australia.
"This night wouldn’t happen if you didn’t pursue the things you love. This is what love can do, they push you to your limits so that you could grow and be a better person." She said like as if she was dreaming.
I smiled and nodded.
"You’re right."
She turned back at me and smiled. Suddenly her smile grew and looked at me with her twinkling eyes.
Oh, I know that look. That’s the kind of look she gives when--
"Excuse me."
I was shock because of the voice that had spoke behind me so I suddenly turned around and saw "THE" guy who Nova pointed out a while ago.
"Hi, Sorry." I humbly said and look at him.
"Hi, How are you doing?" He asked with his deep manly voice.
"Good, would you like some drink?" I asked and showed my glass to him.
"Ah, no thank you. Great dinner by the way."
I nodded and smiled at him.
"So what can I do for you?" I asked.
"Nah, I just wanted to say that your beautiful." He said and smiled at me.
I quickly composed myself since he caught me off guard. Woah, that's kinda fast.
"You know how a man likes some women" he added.
I mentally rolled my eyes at him.
"Sorry but you're actually not my type of guy." I said
"What? You like some a**holes?"
"No. Nice guy." I stated like a fact and took a sip at my wine.
"Well I can't say that I'm a nice guy but you'll come around."
I can't help myself and rolled my eyes at him.
"Don't you have some places to go? Or someone to talk to other than me."
"Oh, Well I believe I'm already at the place where I wanted to be and talking to the person I definitely want to." He said and smirked.
Oh gosh! His attitude is on a higher level!
I was taken a back when he suddenly walked near me, he lowered his head and went near to my ear.
"Are you perhaps lost, babygirl?" He whispered using his deep sexy voice.
Is he actually teasing me?! Right in front of my friend?!
He then stood straight, gave me a wink and smirked.
"I'll see you around, Ms. Inka." He added and walked away.
And there I was, dumbfounded.
What the f*ck did just happened?
"Ohhh~ I think someone is on Mr. Choi's eyes." I heard Nova said so I gave her a confused look.
"Who's Mr. Choi?" I asked
"That guy. He's Read Choi, Inka. He's like one of the Top Billionaire in this country. He owns a lot of company either in the food industry or tourism industry." Nova stated and once again I was dumbfounded by the information I got.
"Rumor has it that he belongs to some kind of a Mafia but nobody can actually confirm it so it was left as a rumor." She added
I looked at her suspiciously as she laughed.
"You didn't told me this when I told you that I don't know him and to think that you actually knew that he was checking me out a while ago."
I rolled my eyes and heaved a sigh. This girl is literally giving me a headache.
"Well you didn't asked so I thought that you're not interested in him."
Well, she had a point but still!
"Whatever, Nova."
She shrugged her shoulder and turned around. Someone she knew walked by that she actually left me here looking stupid.
Okay, this night is getting worse than ever.
I looked at Read who was talking to some business man. He was seriously talking to him that made his face feature more stony and cold. He actually looks intimidating.
His jaw was so defined and sharp, I never saw anyone who had that kind of jaw well besides him of course.
He suddenly looked back at me that surprised me. He smirked and gave me a wink and I literally ran away from my spot and walked towards the comfort room.
Oh my Gosh! He actually saw me, he might think that I was checking him out! Well, did I? Of course not, Inka! You were just admiring his jaws thats all!
I frustratingly let out a groan and massaged my temples. A knock suddenly interrupted me so I opened the door and saw my secretary.
"Ma'am, your auction will start in five minutes."
I nodded and told him to wait for me at the back of the stage. I went back in front of the mirror and checked myself and did some retouch.
While I was applying my blush on, I suddenly remembered the way he smirked and his voice that made my face so red.
Ugh! That guy!
