1. First Day

The first day was transferred to the secretary division. Honestly, why did it have to be moved all of a sudden? There is no reason why Pevita was suddenly transferred to the secretarial division. Could there be something?

"PEVITA GRIZELDA ..., WAKE UP ...!"

Inside the small boarding house, Pevita is not bothered by Sally's screams, which slowly become loud. There were screams accompanied by loud banging on the front door of Pevita's boarding house. Half conscious, Pevita opened her eyes and got out of bed when she saw the clock showing eight o'clock in the morning.

"What ?! Eight o'clock? Shit !!!" Pevita is shocked, seeing the clock on the wall.

Today is bad, the first day of being the new secretary, and Pevita woke up late? Oh no. It should have started well, but it wasn't at all.

Even though it was too late, Pevita had to dress up super feminine with her hair neatly blown to make her look perfect. While running down the courtyard stairs to the main road, Pevita wore ten centimeters high heels and called a passing taxi.

"Pevita! Good luck ... have a nice first day being the Secretary Director!" Sally shouted from the end of the stairs up there at Pevita on the side of the highway.

"Thanks! Wish I all the best!" said Pevita, returned a wave of Sally's hand.

Panting, Pevita galloped into the lift. The woman let out a sigh of relief; luckily, the lift doors weren't completely closed. Finally, the lift door was closed completely. Pevita realized there was a man behind her leaning back while reading a journal.

The man raised his head, glanced at Pevita. Without a smile, just a great look. Pevita feels awkward; she smiles then nods respectfully.

What a handsome man. His style is calm but manages to attract attention, and Pevita is fascinated with him. Attractive like Jae Joong in the Korean drama Protect the Boss. With hair covering his forehead. He was tall and athletic in build. The man's lips sexy and pink makes his appearance even more cute and handsome.

"Oops, maybe I dreamed of meeting a prince," Pevita thought.

In the lift down twenty floors, Pevita and the man kept quiet, not talking or greeting each other. And when the lift reached the fifth floor, suddenly there was a rattling sound of the elevator. The elevator was shaken for a moment, making the lift stop, and the lights went out instantly.

"Why is it getting dark? What's wrong with this? Ahh! The lights go out. Help me! please!" Without realizing it, Pevita screamed hysterically.

Darkness is the first thing that Pevita dislikes. It's dark without lighting or moonlight; Pevita hates the dark. Her heart skipped a beat, and cold sweat ran down her skin. When Pevita was kidnapped and held hostage, memories of the past began to haunt her memories and return to the surface. Since then, Pevita has become a woman who hates darkness without light.

"Me. Afraid ---" stuttered Pevita.

Without realizing it, Pevita was sobbing hysterically without being able to control herself. This lady doesn't know what hand to hold, now needs someone beside her. In essence, Pevita does not want to be alone in a dark place.

A moment later, Pevita felt a strong hand hugging her from the side, and the voice of a man trying to calm her made Pevita realize that she was not alone who was stuck in the lift.

"Calm down, calm down ... you are not alone. There I am here. Don't be afraid; you have to be calm; you are safe."

A split second later, Pevita's feelings were much calmer, and the voice was comforting Pevita. The big hand stroked Pevita's hair. Gradually, his fear subsided. Pevita feels safe in his hug.

"The lift was stuck for a while, not for long. Maybe a little technical error. the lift will return to normal."

Pevita sobs began to subside; only then did Pevita realize that she had been in an unknown man's arms for a long time. The distance between the two of them was so close that Pevita felt his heartbeat. The scent of masculine perfume swept Pevita's sense of smell. Fragrant, Pevita likes this scent.

Suddenly the lights came on. Beside Pevita, black eyes were staring with worry. Only then did Pevita begin to feel stiff all over her body, mostly when the neck felt sore when moved.

Pevita immediately broke away from the hug.

"Are you okay?"

Pevita keeps her body away. Instead of answering, but apologizing, "Sorry, I panicked. I've always hated darkness like that."

"It's okay. It's okay."

Pevita saw clearly that the man's coat was slightly wet with tears. Pevita face began to heat and flushed with embarrassment. "Sorry, your jacket got wet," said Pevita guiltily.

The man glanced briefly at the jacket he was wearing. It was as if the coat was specially designed for him.

"No problem."

Be short and precise. The man was a little cold.

"I hope you don't think anything, and I just felt scared and hysterical. Once again, sorry."

"No. I must apologize for making you feel offended by my treatment."

"You're not wrong; I'm the one whose wrong here. You don't have to apologize," Pevita said, insisting that the man was completely innocent.

The man smiled faintly, as thin as paper. "I know, this is an unpleasant experience for you," he said.

Pevita laughs. Bad experience for the first time stuck in the lift.

"What floor are you on?" asked the man.

"Ten floors, but I have to go to the eight floors first," replied Pevita. Immediately the lift doors opened on the eight floors . "What floor are you on?" asked Pevita.

"Ten floors," replied the man. He pressed the button for the ten floor.

Pevita was silent, her mind asked. Isn't the ten floors a superior for Directors and secretaries? Maybe the person who was with Pevita in the lift was a Director.

Don't know, Pevita doesn't know for sure. Because he initially worked in the fashion department then transferred to become the secretary of Director Raffa.

Pevita comes out soon. Before the door closed, Pevita turned around to face the elevator, which was about to close. "Thank you. See you on ten floors. Ah ... My name is Pevita." Pevita half screams, giving her name.

The man chuckled in amusement but did not comment on what Pevita said because the lift door was closed. Pevita hurriedly ran to meet her superior, Mrs. Sindy.

"Sorry, I was late because the lift was stuck."

Mrs. Sindy laughed. "Hahaha, how bad you are. When you were in the fashion department, you were never stuck in a lift," said Mrs. Sindy.

Pevita just found out, Mrs. Sindy's character was full of laughter and good to talk to.

"Yes, it's a bad day. It's the first time that I've something like this, Mrs."

"The lift is acting up again, ha ... haha. I didn't think you were a victim. Alright, this is Mr. Raffa's file that must be done. You go straight to the ten floors." Mrs. Sindy handed me the file. "Don't be surprised when you meet Director Raffa." Mrs. Sindy smiled strangely.
