CHAPTER 04

"I’ll call Ysabelle to come with us. The more the merrier, isn’t it? “ she said with full of excitement but Gabriel stop her from doing it.

“No need, Den! “

“But why? She's my friend too.“ she hesitate to ask Gabriel.

“This is your moment to be with yourself, your time to relax and think for a better decision. At the same time your chance to be with me just for a night. “ he winked at her.

“Oh, really? Wow! As in wow, Gabby! You’re the man bro, I felt embarrassed. I’m sorry though. “ she said with a sarcastic smile.

“Tsk! “ he just let her do it until they reach the beach side.

She’s damn excited, and immediately got out the car when we arrive at the beach. Then she left me behind and hurriedly running to the seashore while screaming out loud.

“Ahhhh!!! You’re fuckin’ bastard, Justin!!! Go to hell! I really hate you for doing this to me and I can’t even forgive you over my dead body!! You freakin’ bastard!! I hate you! I hate you! Ahhhhh..“ she’s starting to cry out loud.

“Enough for your stupid thoughts, Dennise! “ 

“What?? I can’t believe and accept it that he’s cheating on me with his damn secretary! You know that, Gabby? “

“Hello?! I’m Dennise! The one and only Dennise Althea Salcedo, famous and highest paid model in Paris. But gosh!! I’m freakin’ out of my mind because of them. You, asshole! “

“Good! He’s not worth it for your love, time and effort. Get a new life, Dennise! Don’t worry I’m here to cheer you up. “ 

“I can’t forgive you, bastard! “ she continued crying and shouting out loud at the middle of the night.

“You’re not yet drunk, Den. But with your stupid actions, you’re totally drunk. Here, try this one to cool down yourself. “ he offered mug root beer to her.

“Thank you, Gabby. “

“You’re crazy, so please stop it dear! This is embarrassing already, just forget that bastard, Den. Stop fooling yourself just because of him!“ he tried to stop her from being nuisance.

“Of course, I will. Just don’t mind me here, will you? This would be my last moment here in the limelight of Paris and I will never ever remember those pains I had in this place. I'll forget everything about him anything about us.“

She cried all over again, that’s why Gabriel grab her immediately and hugged her so tight. But she didn’t stop crying instead she cried a lot in his arms.

“Stop it, Dennise! If you think that you failed for loving your man this time, it’s not yet the end of the world Den. Just get up then live your life to the fullest and forget the man who hurt you most. “

“I knew it, right! It’s just that sometimes love can be so stupid but atleast this time, I’m brave enough to finally let him go. I will live my life now in peace and faraway from him. “ she loosened her hugs from him and drink her own root beer.

“Okay, that's good! Better that things are cleared and settled now because I don’t like things to be complicated in our new life at Tagaytay Elite Club, whatever the pains you have in your heart just let it out and leave it here. “

“Are you insane?! Don’t worry just mind your own business, okay? This is my life and no one can tell me on what to do, “ she’s a bit disappointed while looking on his handsome face.

“Fine. I won’t messed up with your life. Just do your part while we are staying at Tagaytay Elite Club, I don’t like it when things get complicated during our mission inside TEC. “ I smirked and gently tap her head.

“Don’t worry I’ll be paying you in full of my loyalty, Gabby. Thank you for letting me do this for the last time. This is enough time for me to let out all of the pains and heartaches, that I bear inside. “

“Glad to hear that Dennise. I’m happy to see a glimpse of your smile behind that pain in your heart. “ I gently wiped her tears with my bare hands.

“Thank you, Gabby! “ she smiled sweetly.

“No problem. I guess we need to go home now, Ysabelle is waiting for us. You can stay with us in our home starting tonight, “ he held her hands as they walk together back to his own car.

When they got home,  Gabriel helped Dennise in carrying her luggages to the guest room and he opened the door for her.

“Thank you again, Gabby. I owe you a lot. “

“No worries, Den and from now on don’t hesitate to call me or Ysabelle if you need anything. I’ll be there at the next room. “

“Oh, don’t mind it too much. I’m alright, Gabby. Goodnight. “ she smiled sweetly before closing the door.

She’s almost out of breath when Gabriel left in her room at she immediately dropped her body in the bed.

"Get out of my mind!! Damn it!!” she screamed silently and even stumping her feet on top of the bed.

“Can’t you see Dennise? He’s just doing it because it is the right thing to do, by protecting you from him who hurt your feelings and ego as a woman. Just bear it in your mind that Gabby don’t need a woman in his life. Because there’s only one woman who can fullfill his being and you knew who it is, even though she’s gone but he's still into her.”

“Ahhhh!!! “ She screamed out loud just to erased her thoughts about Gabriel Venturri and even throwing all the pillows and stuff toys at the carpeted floor. But still her minds keep on nagging just like her own mother.

“Don’t easily jump into a wrong conclusion, Dennise! Though he’s protecting you from him, accompanying you and given you the chances with all your likes? Don’t assumed too much my dear! He’s not your ultimate knight and shining armour. So wake up, girl! No more forever, between you and Justin as well as with Gabriel Venturri. “

She’s totally mad at herself for being stupid and even poked her head, then gently pulled her hairs using her bare hands.

“Is it really my inner thoughts? Or a real enemy? “

It’s out of her mind when she kicked the last thing on top of her bed and thrown as well the bedsheet anywhere. Mixed emotions, she’s totally mad at Justin for his betrayal on their 3 long years of relationship that’s the reason why she scattered all the stuffs that reminds about him. At the same time, mad for her assuming feelings  towards Gabriel.

She’s almost undressed because of her doings earlier but she didn’t care at all what matters most, letting out her bad feelings and emotions towards them. Rest assured that no one will dared to get inside her room except for Ysa that’s why she didn’t bothered fixing her room and even her dress she’s wearing right now.

 She’s at the middle of keeping herself calm and erasing her thoughts about Gabriel when she suddenly heard someone opening the door.

“Shit! I forgot to lock the door.“ she almost jumped into her bed when she saw it was Gabriel standing behind the door.

“Den? You’re still awake? I brought you some milk to calm yourself before you sleep.” he said with gentleness in his voice.

Shock to the highest level, when he entered in her room without notice and she even forgot to covered herself. If not him who suddenly cleared his throat while staring at her she’ll never be back on her senses. She immediately grab the extra blanket to covered herself.

"Oh, hi.. You really don’t have the manners to simply knock the door before you entered my room, GABRIEL?!! " she yelled at him out of shame.

“What happened here?!” he asked while ignoring what she said earlier and focused his attention on the things scattered on the floor.

“Uhhmmm...uhmm- don’t mind it! I’m not yet done cleaning my room. Yeah, I’m still cleaning that’s why my stuffs are scattered on the floor. “ she faked her smile and can’t look at him directly into his eyes.

“What do you want, Gabby? Do you need anything? “ I asked him while picking up my stuffs and simply arranged it on top of my bed.

“Nothing! I’m just checking on you. I heard your screaming and crashing of things on the floor. So thought something happened and  - and uhmmm.. I brought you some milk to drink before you go to sleep. “ he gently put the glass of milk on the bedside table but before he left, he’s looking  with knots on his forehead while staring directly in her arms.

“I m not into suicidal, Gabriel! I’m just letting out with my damn feelings and frustrations. “ she said while hiding her arms in the blanket. But to her surprised, he sat besides her and gently grab her hands.

"What happened to your arms?!" he asked while staring at her.

"Uhmm it’s nothing so don’t mind it too much, Gabby. “ she lied.

"You know how I really hate liars, Dennise!" Gabriel tightened his hold to her arms.

“Aishh... As I’ve said it’s just nothing, you know how clumsy I am Gabby and it's just an accident. “ she said while trying to get her arms.

“Don’t get too much affected Gabby. Who knows I might fall in love with you and it will caused for your death. “ she’s joking at him, to lightened up the atmosphere inside her room because it feels like so hot already.

“He did this to you, Dennise? If I have just known it was him, then sorry if I can’t pretend to be good towards that bastard! “ he paused for a while.

 "I will kill him! " she was shocked of what he said that’s why he immediately hold his handsome face and neglect it when the blanket she’s holding was drop down below her waist.

"Don't let your hands get dirty just because of that bastard."

His just silent while staring at her as if she’s like a fallin’ angel from heaven. But before her minds get wild and dirty, she gently poked his forehead and stand up  in order to assist him in going out of her room.

“Please get out of my room so that I could cleaned up my mess. “ 

"Goodnight Gabby. Sweet dreams and dream of me, ” she said with a smile and kissed his cheeks.

She pushed him away when they’re in front of the door but he just laughed and stayed for a while. He gave her a stolen kiss on her lips before he finally goes out the room.

“Goodnight, Den. See you in my dreams! “ he winked. 

She’s still on shock of what he did to her and even touched her own lips, to that hot sensations throughout her veins. After she lock the door, she leaned for a while and immediately touched her chest to feel the fast beating of her heart.

“What does it mean? He really kissed me? “ she felt so happy and excited. 

But her inner thoughts damn spoiler. “Don’t assumed too much, Dennise! It’s really hard when you fall but he doesn’t care to catch you and loving you in returned. “

She gently poked herself. “You’re such a flirt, Dennise! You just broke with Justin earlier but now your hoping that Gabriel will love you and give you enough attention. “

"Ouch!! I know it’s impossible that Gabby might fall in love with me but there’s nothing wrong when your hopeful for love even if you think it’s impossible.  But for now, we will just enjoy our company together as friends. “

No one can tell to us what will happened in the future. I believe that saying “W.O.L.O” We Only Live Once

So why don't we just cherish the moment before it ends or last forever! Despite of the fact that he’s still in love with his ex girlfriend Athena Jade Calderon.
