7) At the party.

"Lucas! What the hell. You have scared me," Daisy mumbled in a taut tone. 

Lucas chuckled softly, still wrapping his arm around Daisy's shoulder, he replied, "Sorry, I was just trying to scare you a little. I didn't know the great sniper girl will behave like a little kitten." 

Rolling her eyes, Daisy replied teasingly, "Huh! Are you trying to get your revenge by giving me a heart attack?? Come on Lucas, it was just a game. Don't hold any grudge against me." 

Daisy looked at Lucas with her innocent puppy eyes and pouting her lips, she gave a cute girl expression. Daisy's innocence and childish attitude didn't irritate icy cold Lucas. Instead his heart started pounding wildly, seeing her alluring pouty lips and he felt a tinge of warmth in his heart. 

He smiled and replied with a mischievous tone, "How can I hold a grudge on such a pretty lady? I can die for you in every match, Daisy." 

Daisy, biting her lower lip, replied, "Shut up. You don't die yourself. Everytime I kill you with my skill, Mr. Lucifer." 

Then dodging his hand, Daisy started walking towards the dance floor, holding Helen's wrist and dragging Helen alone with her. Lucas laughed out loudly like a child. Both Helen and Dean (Lucas's closest friend and only one who used to know about every secret of Lucas) were shocked seeing such a rare side of Lucas. It was really rare to see Lucas smiling so heartily. 

After Daisy left with Helen, Dean asked Lucas curiously, "Do you like Daisy?"

 Lucas nodded his head slightly in Dean's question and replied softly with a slight smile on his lips, "Yes, I think." Dean was happy for Lucas. it was the first time, Lucas felt something towards a girl but within a second Dean's face darkened.

 He replied with concern, "But Lucas don't forget, She is Nick's teammate and you know Nicolas very well." "Don't worry, Daisy is mine. I will never let Nicolas touch her with his dirty hands," clenching his hand into a fist, Lucas replied in cold voice.

Helen asked Daisy little loudly as the music was extremely loud, "Do you still think Lucas is only being friendly with you? It is clear that he is trying to impress you. It is the first time Lucas is talking with a girl in such a way. Better you start thinking, sweetie." 

Daisy giggled out loudly and replied, "May be. But I am not interested in Lucas. He is no doubt handsome and charming but just a friend."

 Poking with her elbow, Helen replied curiously, "It seems like you are already dreaming for someone else. Come on girl, say who is it?"

 "Ugh! None Helen. I will love to stay single. A happy free life," rolling her eyes, Daisy replied. They both joined with the crowd on the dance floor. Daisy's sexy figure was moving swiftly with the beat of the music. Daisy was a professional dancer so no doubt, her moves on the dance floor was very charming and seducing.

On the other side of the room, Nicolas was sitting lazily with Ruth and two more girls in his side. He was sipping on his whisky in an elegant manner, reflecting his charm. He was looking like an angel with a devilish charm, in his skin tight white shirt. His purple eyes were deep and bewitching. He was casually looking around his surroundings when suddenly a figure on the dance floor grabbed his attention. A girl in a black two piece spilt elegant dress dancing in a very seductive way, facing her back towards Nicolas. The deep brown hair was beautifully styled in a unique hairstyle. Nicolas was observing her head to toe. Suddenly, in a swift move, the girl turned around while dancing and instinctively, Nicolas eyes lit up and a charming smile curled up on his lips. Daisy's beautiful appearance  was really praiseworthy.

Daisy's eyes met with Nicolas which were staring at her for long, instinctively she smiled at him brightly. He was sitting among girls, he was indeed very famous among girls so it was not an unexpected scene for Daisy. Daisy's smile was so alluring that Nicolas immediately stood up and started walking towards the dance floor without removing his eyes from Daisy's eyes. 

Soon, Nicolas reached to her and leaning near her ear, whispered, "You are looking gorgeous, partner. Can we have a dance together?"

 With a sly smile, Daisy replied shortly, "Yeah." He was looking so dashing that it made her heart thump wildly and her cheek turned into crimson. He wrapped one of his strong arm around her waist and holding her one hand with another one, Nicolas pulled her closer to him. His strong masculine scent wafted into her nostrils. Their body started moving with slow romantic tempo of the song. With a sly smile, Daisy was staring at Nicolas's face, his perfect facial features and those purple eyes caught Daisy's eyes. Nicolas also couldn't look away from Daisy as if he was lost in her deep eyes, forgetting about everything. Her sweet lavender scent was alluring him to come closer to her. He spun her around and bent her body like a professional dancer. Then, leaning forward, he was going to pick her up again, but when his eyes saw the bare skin of her neck and her fair collarbone, he immediately felt an intense urge of kissing her neck. But, with great difficulty, he suppressed his urge and pulled her again in his arms. Daisy was feeling like she was in a fairy tale and dancing with her prince charming. But, within a second she recalled that she was assuming about something impossible and she put her imagination aside. 

Everybody at the party, started watching the dance performance of that perfect couple who were lost in themselves, forgetting the presence of others. Though it was not new to see Nicolas, dancing with girls but there was something special that time which was clearly noticeable. Seeing, Daisy and Nicolas so close to each other, a strong jealousy and anger started boiling inside Lucas. He clenched his fingers in a tight fist. He was staring at them with bloodshot eyes as if someone stole the most precious thing of his life.

The song was about to end and they were dancing slowly facing each other. Nicolas could feel his wild heartbeat and his ears started to become hot and he noticed adorable red cheeks of Daisy. When his eyes fell on her thin lips which were coloured with red lipstick, inches away from his own, he couldn't suppress the urge of kissing those alluring lips. Daisy was also staring at his lips while biting her lower lip nervously. When she saw Nicolas started to lean forward slowly her whole body felt like it was on fire.

The feeling was unfamiliar yet beautiful.
