A song for you (book 3)

Grayson POV

I am sitting on my bed, wondering once again why I am the most hated hybrid in the world. I don't know everyone is so nasty to me. Sure, I have secret hidden powers that I don't even know about but, I have never used them on anyone.

I tried to make friends. It is impossible if no one wants to speak to you. I even sit alone at lunch. They mostly make fun of me for being a freak of nature. The other teenagers cross the road whenever I am on the street. I live a lonely life. If it wasn't for my family, I would have no one.

My mother always figured that I will be the most popular guy in school, but I guess mothers don't know everything, but I am not going to tell her that.

"Gray, are you done yet? You are going to be late for school." My mom peeks in at my door with a smile on her face.

"I am ready, mom. I have never been late for school, and I am definitely not going to start the last day of school." I have always been the rule follower in this family. I know not a 'cool' look on an Alpha. I have read some of my mother's werewolf romances, and all the Alpha's were rule breakers and bad boys.

"I know, Gray. I am just making sure. If I don't check up on you, you will be late every day. Now, get your ass downstairs. Your dad and I have a present for you." My mom is so excited it looks like she is bouncing on her feet. I kiss my mother on the cheek. She left after that.

My mom can be so childish sometimes. That is what I love about her. Its what makes her the greatest mom in the world. She is the kind of mom that played in the mud with me. I finish getting ready and walked downstairs. My mom stops me and puts a blindfold on me.

She starts pushing me. I feel the sun on my skin and realize I am outside. My mom takes off the blindfold and in front of me is a blood-red Lamborghini urus. My dream car.

I turn around and hug my mom. My dad gets out of the car, and I run towards him and gives him a big bear hug.

"What do you think, buddy?" I walk around the car.

"This is amazing, dad. This is my dream car. How did you know?"

"Grayson, there are posters all over your wall of this car, so I took a chance."

"Thank you, dad. Thank you so much. May I ride it to school today?"

"Of course you can. It is your graduation present. Just be careful."

"I always am, remember? Love you, dad."

I climb in the car and start it for the first time. The sound of the car makes me shudder. I am a typical man. I am obsessed with cars.

I arrive at school, and everyone is staring at me. Ok, more like staring at my new car. All the kids used to make fun of me for being a senior and still using the bus for transport to school. Now I kind of can't help feeling a little bit smug at all the envious stares I am getting.

I feel my phone vibrate, and I take it out of my pocket. I see it is a text from my mom.

Honey, come straight home from school. We have a graduating party planned for you, and the whole pack will be there.

I reply saying I will be home on time. 

The rest of the day went by without any incidents. Everyone stayed out of my way. I could still hear the whispers, but it didn't bother me that much today. It was the last day I would see anyone of them. It makes me happy. No more bullying!

I drive home, just thinking. My father told me he would like me to take over the pack one day, but nobody knows that. Everyone thinks that I am only a freak of nature since I got turned when my mother was pregnant. They don't know that my father's Alpha blood got transferred to me in my transformation. That might be the reason why nobody wanted to be friends with me. They probably think that one of the twins will be Alpha one day.

I walk into the house and quickly got dressed for the party later. If I know my mother, it already started. 

I walk to the training area. That is where all our parties are held. As I predicted, the party already started. My father sees me, and he walks towards the stage.

"Can I have everyone's attention? The guest of honor has just arrived. I would like you to raise your glasses to my son, Grayson, who has finally graduated high school. I am proud of you, son." Every member of our pack turned around and raised their drinks in my direction.

"Son, will you join me on stage?" My father looks at me. I nodded and made my way through the crowd. I went to stand next to my father on the stage.

"I have an announcement to make. All of you know that Grayson isn't my biological son, but something you don't know is that when he was turned in Luna Emelia's womb, he got some of my blood. He has Alpha blood in him so I am standing here in front of you to tell you he will be your new Alpha as soon as I retire. I know he is too young at the moment, that is why I won't swear him in today. I want him to go to Alpha school and then travel the world a bit or the other way around. It is all up to him. Although I would like to get him on his path as soon as possible." 

I look out over the crowd and see all the kids in my school's eyes went wide. They finally realized that they made the mistake of excluding the future Alpha.

I turn around and hug my dad. I already made my choice of what I am going to do.
