Chapter 3

David nearly fell off the chair by leaning sideways to see Jenne. She smiled cutely, although, behind that smile, she held miseries. She soon walked away from his view as he sat back upon his chair, searching for her, that's when the event began. A young guy came upon a small portable stage and kindly told everyone to take their seats.

Once everyone did, he started.

"As we all know, this grand mansion is up for sale-..." he continued his speech although David paid no attention or whatsoever to what was going on. He was simply focusing on the girl standing in the corner. She quietly stood there and watched everything with her eyes. Urging to stop everything and say 'it's not for sale' although circumstances have taken her to a level where she's left with no choice.

David kept staring at her, that's when the bidding began.

"1 million."

A man spoke.

"2.5 million", a lady bided.

"5 million."

The bidders kept biding until a man in his early 20s bided the exact amount needed.

"120, 780, 000 million", the man raised his biding number 5 as he spoke.

The man managed to gain David's attention while everyone whispered to one another.

"Hey isn't that Mark willison? Their future son-in-law?" A couple gossiping afar managed to gain David's attention as well.

"mark willison, huh?" He muttered.

"120,780,000 million going once...going twice...and so—.."

"250 million!".

The crowd immediately turned around to search for the man who bided such a considerable amount. And there he was standing with his bidding number 7.

David smith.

The mc quickly fixed his jaw that was wide open and began.

"250 million going once...going twice...and SOLD! Congratulations to bidder number ".

Everyone stood up and erupt in chatters and applause. Women looked at David seductively and gold diggers trying to surround him, although he pushed them all aside and headed towards the documents the agent from earlier held.

David's pov

I watched how happy wang had gotten after that

fucking Mark

bided the precise amount he had requested. So this was his way of getting out of the debt, huh?

He was going to get his daughter married to Mark so he could get his property back in return.

I faced away to see Jenne smiling and then back to that shorty. And that's when I had my cue...

"250 million", I said while rapidly standing up with my number 7 that I hadn't noticed earlier.

Everyone turned around to face me, and the mc looked like he was about to collapse. I saw how Mark slightly turned his face to my direction, not wanting to encounter someone wealthier than him. Mr wang looked at me confused and than Jenne, staring at me like an angel.

The mc continued speaking, but all I saw was Jung's surprised face. Mark's failure and the way they locked gazes.

I haven't even executed my plan, and they're already nervous? *smirk*

I made my way towards the lady who handed me the bidding number, and there she stood smiling at me.

"Congratulations sir", She said while handing me the deed for the property.

"Thanks", I replied while filling it all out and claiming the property as official mine.

She scanned through it and smiled before taking it with her. The mc came in view and congratulated me as well before leaving. Everyone left, leaving the family members and of course the show off shorty pants with me in the mansion.

Jung, his daughter and that williom me outside guy.

"Who are you?"

Wang spoke while approaching me with his hand stuck in his trouser's pocket. Trying to intimidate me, I see.

I stood there without answering anything.

He waited for a while then looked at mark and back at me.

After no reply, he decided to question again.

"I'm astonished at what you did today. But why did you offer such a huge amount?."

Again no answer escaped my lips while he watched me Intensely, looking like an idiot himself.

My bodyguards from our mansion arrived on the right timing since I ordered them to. While everyone was busy in the auction, I was preparing my plan. They all came in wearing black, and the looks on my opponent's face were satisfying.

Seemed like they were about to shit their pants.

"Take him outside". I gestured towards mark, and the guards did as told.

"Hey, hey, let me go! Do you know who I am? Hands off!!" Mark squirmed in their tight grip while they took him outside. Leaving the father and daughter all alone with me in the dark, dim mansion.

I signalled the other guys, and they all left.

Jenne proceeded to walk after Mark, but I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.

"What the? Let me go". She winced in pain.

"What do you think you're doing!? Release my daughter!" Anger flowed through wang's eyes only to advantage me.

I see a weakness in those eyes. It's Jenne, isn't it?

"Let me go!—..." I released her almost instantly while she held onto her wrist and whined.

"Who do you think you are?!!!" Wang rose his voice higher.

"The owner of this mansion and the captor of your daughter".

I stated.

"What rubbish!!" He rose his voice higher than the previous.

"Wait aren't you that guy from the airport?—Omg it's you???"

She watched me in disgust after finally recognising me.

As if I care.

I smiled through my scarf and took my disguise off, revealing my face.

They watched me as if nothing happened.

Like father, like daughter.

"You look, familiar boy". wang spoke.

"Well, of course, the internet doesn't display my face for nothing".

He finally realised, and his eyes widened.

"You? You' re—you're that Mafia's son aren't you? What's his name? R-Raider yes Raider , that ruthless mafia".

"If I don't presume too much", I smirked at his pathetic face which held a shocked reaction.

Facing sideways, I saw her looking at me, confused.

"Well, it was great doing business with you uhh-.."

He began casually as if trying to mix around with me but I cut him off midway.

"Now here's the deal, I'll give you 250 million dollars to pay of all your debts without having to sell any other assets. I shall also give you accommodation without any charge although..." I trailed off.

"Although everything comes with a price......, what is it that you want?"

He observed me, trying to figure out my motives.

"I want your daughter to be my maid".

His eyes nearly detached from its socket.

"How dare you ask for such a thing!! She is not going to work for you by any means!!!".

Anger was indeed blazing in him, and the look on his face satisfied my soul.

I began circling him, making him look like prey.

"Think about it, Mr wang, you don't have to pay anything because I'll be the one doing that for you. I mean your family is already on the streets and if I want I can use my ways and connect with people whom I know will destroy your opportunities. With no choice left, you'll have to eventually go to prison and watch your family sleep on the streets."

"Y-you wouldn't do that", he spoke. I don't know if he's telling himself or me that.

"Exactly, I don't want to do that. So it's best if you sell everything to me, including cars and business and I'll pay you the amount required for the debt. After your debt is paid, you have 2 options, either live on the streets and actually beg for money or play by my rules and live in a decent house while your daughter can work for me and get paid for it".

He watched me in horror and disgust.

"Never!!".

He said.

"Ok then I'll just call the agent and tell her to cancel everything and that I'm not buying this mansion anymore. Besides You're mistaken if you think people will be willing to buy it if I don't because I'll make sure no one does.

I took out my phone and dialled a random number.

3...2...1

"Wait", a voice halted me.

I cut the call and looked at her.

She watched her dad first and then me.

"I-I'm willing to do it".

Excellent.

"Jenne! What are you saying?! No, I disapprove of this, no".

"But dad, this is our only chance. I don't want to see you go to jail or see us living on the streets. At least think about Rean, how will that poor thing survive? I'm sorry dad, but this is our only option".

"No, Jenne don't! He's ruthless, he'll harm you."

"I'm sure that wouldn't be the case, right?".

She looked at me, asking for approval.

"Uh..yes Mr wang, I will not do anything against her.

Will or whatsoever, we will only remain a professional relationship like a boss and an employee". I smiled at him.

He doesn't trust me at all, though. It's not like he has to.

"Oh one more thing, she will live here with me from tomorrow. Although you can meet your family if you're not on duty. Work starts from the day after tomorrow at 7am till 9 in the evening".

"Oh...Ok," she nodded and looked at her father who looked like he was going insane.

"Dad please—.." before she could complete, he marched out the mansion followed by his lovely daughter.

I may seem cunning, but I had turned this way because of you and this family. I've been through a lot to let you all live peacefully now.

Lonely cold nights without anyone by your side, watching your father die in front of your eyes, watching your Mum lay like a lifeless body has undoubtedly made me cold from inside out. And let me tell you, it's not pleasant. I can be a monster with bad people and an angel with good, but for these people, I'm willing to get to my lowest point where I'll make them cry tears of pain. From this cruel man, all I want to take away is his pride and crush it between my fingers, and that's my promise to you wang.

I'll do it, just watch how I play with your daughter and mess with your head. I'm sure you'll die out of grief only by trying to save her.

The game has begun...
