Tough questions and hurtful answers.
Penulis: ReverThe sunlight reflects through the window and flashes its lights across Jennie's face."Ummm, hmmm!" Jennie said as she tried to keep her eyes shut. But, the sun did not consider the fact that she's just arrived home from her trip. And she had been crying all night because of her conflict with Jackson. It kept intensifying its lights in their room.
"Five more minutes, please." She cried and placed the pillow over her head. Jennie felt a movement on the bed, and she quickly threw the pillow off her head and sat up.
"Good morning, hubby." She whispered and tried to reach out for her morning kiss from him.
"Morning," Jackson said in his deep voice and left the bed without touching his wife.
He did not look back as he walked into the bathroom. Jennie seemed upset, and she felt hurt. Tears settled in her eyes, but she held them back and told herself, "Jennie, you can't give up. Fighting!".
She jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom entrance. "He locked the door!" Jennie caught herself as she tried to open the bathroom door. "He intentionally locked the door!" Jennie said, but this time her tone was more depressing than her first statement. She pulled her legs towards her chest and rested her head against the door.
Jackson stood under the shower with a heavy heart. The rushing water could not calm the anger building up inside him. Jackson took the shampoo, and he was about to apply it to his hair when Jackson heard a faint cry. He stopped for a second and listened. "Jennie is crying? Why is she sobbing again?" He asked himself.
Her gentle sobbing noise stabbed through his heart. Jackson reached for the doorknob, and suddenly he stopped. "You are stubborn. What are you hiding from me that is destroying you? You are not yourself. The Jennie I know wouldn't keep things from me and treat me like a fool. She won't lay close to me but feels so distant. Jennie won't be this afraid to believe that I love her enough to forgive her. What changed you, Jennie? I can barely understand you." Jackson said as he pressed his body against the door and listened to her soft moan.
He never knew that the voice he loved could cause him this much heartache. "Jackson, hold on a little longer, and you can get your wife back. You know that is not the real her out there. There are fears and uncertainty in her eyes. You have loved her for fourteen years and know when she is lying." He said calmly and removed his body from the door.
"Jennie needs to be honest with me, or else she will ruin this marriage, and damage my heart." He stated in frustration and returned to the shower.
Jennie cried herself to sleep as she waited at the bathroom door for Jackson to come out. After a few minutes, Jackson opened the door, and to his surprise, he saw Jennie about to fall on the cold bathroom tile. Jackson dropped on both his knees and caught her just in time to block her head from the fall.
"Ouch!" He spoke carefully. Meanwhile, he sensed a sharp pain in his leg and a liquid rolling down his knee. He took Jennie off the floor and laid her on their bed.
"Don't turn your back to me, please." She whispers as he shifts toward their closet.
"Your shoulder seems cold from that angle. It appears unreachable in my eyes and distance away from my touch. Why does this spark in your eyes seem dull to me? Why are your lips pale whenever I reach out for a kiss? How can those hands be stiff when holding me? You don't love me the way you used to." Jennie said in a gloomy tone.
Her words provoked him. Jackson dropped his shirt on the floor, climbed onto the bed, and hugged her. She ran her finger smoothly against his lips. Wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him. Jackson looked her in the eyes and said. "Are you satisfied now? Is your guilt relief?" Jennie released her grip on him. And fall behind in confusion.
"There it is! The reason I am suspicious of you cheating on me. I am not the one who has changed. Jennie, look at yourself! I can hardly recognize the woman you have become. You stare at me in the face without blinking and act dishonestly. Do not tell me about change because you know straight upright who has changed in this marriage." Jackson screamed at her.
"Are you going to punish me based on your speculation that I did something wrong while I was absent from your life? You don't get to tell me that you love me and hurt me in this manner! Jackson, it's not right, and you know it!" Jennie yelled. she could barely hold back her tears from falling down her anxious eyes.
"I am going to work. Do not wait up for me. I don't think it is a wise choice for me to come home soon." Jackson said to his wife and got off the bed.
"Ouch," he cried as his wounded knee hit his desk.
"You are bleeding!" Jennie screamed and rushed from the bed to his side. "Does it hurt? Is it painful? Wait, I will get the first aid kit!" She told him tenderly.
Jackson stared at his wife's worried face and smiled. He felt his anger subsiding. Though he still believes that something is off about her. However, the woman standing before him at this moment is the real side of Jennie. Jennie tried to get the kit, but Jackson held her hand and pulled her into his embrace.
"Don't go. Let's stay like this for a few minutes. I crave your scent. I just miss you. Let's not fight again. It is stressful being mad at the woman you love. I love you." Jackson said as he caressed Jennie.
"You will be late for work," Jennie said beneath her breath.
"Ummm, that's okay," Jackson replied.

A Lie Away From You You broke me
"Triplets?" Chris shouted as he drove into the hospital parking lot. He was almost at the hospital when he got a call from doctor Christina. The moment he answered, she told him the news. "Yes, Mr. Ash. Miya is pregnant with triplets for your friend Jackson." Christina's voice echoed through the phone speaker. "That's good!" Chris said with excitement. "Mr. Ash, not to be disrespectful, but I don't think this situation is good. Miya is happy about this news because she believes that the kids belong to her husband. Yet I am deceiving her." "Then what should we do? Tell her the truth and have her abort the kids or go through with your original plan? However, these two plans end with these children dying, and that's not what we want. Right, Doc?" "Yes, Mr. Ash." "Okay! Since we are on the same page. I will be awaiting more updates from you."
A Lie Away From You Triplets
"Hello, Dr. Christina." Miya softly utters when she enters the doctor's office before shutting the door. Christina smiled and signaled her to take a seat, so she approached the desk and sat down in the chair. "How are you doing today, Miya?" Christina asked as she stared at Miya with gentle eyes. "Except for my boobs feeling sore, me regularly feeling tired, the morning sickness, me having vivid and strange dreams, the stomach cramps, me developing an uncanny sense of smell, and all the other thing that comes with being pregnant, I am doing pretty well today, doc. Thank you for asking." Miya said with a jovial expression. "Haha, the joy of entering motherhood. Where is your husband?" Dr. Christina asked when she noticed that Miya was alone. "Ho, he's waiting in the car. Lucas is not a big fan of hospital smells, so I told him to stay in the car." Miya said as she tried to force a
A Lie Away From You In need of change
Lucas pulled over and stopped in the hospital parking lot. Then he rested back against his seat. "Are you not coming in?" Miya asked when she saw Lucas closing his eyes. She knew that the answer to her question was clear, yet she still had a bit of hope that she would get a different response. "Why should I come inside? I am not the one pregnant." Lucas replied with his eyes still shut. "But Dr. Christina told me the other day over the phone that she will be performing an ultrasound today. Don't you want to see the kid?" Miya said as she tried to sound calm even though she was getting pretty upset inside. "I will see it when it comes out. It's not even completely formed yet, so what's the point of seeing it?" Lucas stated with less care in his words and more arrogance. "Okay, then. See you later." Miya stated. She bit her lip and he
A Lie Away From You Unspoken words
It has been exactly eight weeks since Miya's last visit to Dr. Christina's office, and today she had another visit to the hospital. She and Lucas had forgotten about their fight. Nonetheless, they had interacted little in the past few months because Luca was not thrilled that she was pregnant, nor cared to ask how her pregnancy was coming along or showed concern for their unborn child over the months. Lucas had never been of much help to her during the past few days. So Miya was kind of shocked when he offered to take her to the hospital. Yet she did not make any fuss about his offer since she was not in the mood for an argument. She and Lucas sat in his car as he drove her to the hospital, and none of them felt like talking. Miya kept her eyes focused on the window. She had her right hand resting on her tummy. Although her stomach was not huge yet, she almost certainly felt pregnant on the inside.
A Lie Away From You She's more than a stranger
Two weeks later, Miya took the bus to get to the hospital to avoid the incident that happened between her and her husband the other day. So far, they had not spoken many words to each other since the day of their argument. Lucas did not stop his smoking and drinking, but that was not Miya's primary focus. She had been feeling a bit weird in recent times, and she could not wait to meet with doctor Christina to give her the results that she had been eager to hear for weeks. Miya felt afraid to do the home test since she was reluctant to find out the report on her own. After a few minutes, Miya got seated in the Dr. office, and she nervously stared at Doctor Christina. "Good morning, Miya. How are you feeling on this beautiful day?" The Dr. said. "I feel good, but I have been experiencing an increased need to urinate, and I have been feeling a bit nauseous in the morning these past day
A Lie Away From You It's late for repentance
“Excuse me, sir. Are you ordering from the menu?” The waitress said as she looked down at Steven. Steven took one last look at the menu before he laid it down on the peach table cloth and turned toward the waitress. “I will have cornbread and tea.” He said. The waitress then turned her head and focused on Chloe, who remained seated opposite Steven. “How about you, miss? Can I get you anything?” She asked. Chloe gazed at Steven, who was not paying much attention to her, then looked back at the waitress. “I will have the same thing he had order.” Chloe replied. After the waitress left to get their order, Steven and Chloe sat in their seats quietly as they waited for the next person to say something. However, neither of them spoke until the waitress came back, served their food, and left them a
