She's home

The powerful wind blew through the yellow house when the door opened, and an À la mode woman stepped in. She turned on the light and felt disgusted by how dirty the living and dining room appeared. Empty alcohol bottles and dirty dishes with food in them were on the dining table. Burn out candles, rose petals, and daisies scattered on the floor.

Jennie became upset. The one thing she despises the most is littering, and Jackson knew that. He had never been this sloppy since they lived together because he understood it offended her.

"What has changed about him over these past months?" She questions herself when she enters the kitchen and notices stains, empty whiskey bottles, and spilled food spots on her white marble counter. However, what alarmed her the most were the several bloodstains on the table.

Jennie felt anxious, and her mind when wild. She thought something severe had happened to her husband, but she could not contact him because her phone was off.

"What happened to Jackson while I was away?" she said.

The fridge had a refreshing aroma, and Jennie opens it. The freezer was packed with the leftovers from her favorite dishes. She grabbed a container of chocolate brownies, removed the lid, and munched on them. The brownies were delicious, and Jennie guessed that Jackson had recently prepared these foods since they tasted fresh. She felt exhausted after eating the entire brownies, and positive that her husband was wholesome.

"He is just sweating out his pain, as usual." Jennie reminded herself and retired to their bedroom.

The bed was untidy, a pile of Jackson clothes, and rose petals were on the carpet. Jennie waved her hands in disbelief and put her phone on the charger. Furthermore, she decided to clean the house since she was already home.

She started by changing the blanket and fixing the bed neatly. Jennie then headed down the stairs, grabbed a broom, and swept the entire house. Next, Jennie removes the dirty plates and cleans them in the kitchen sink. Plus, she removed the empty bottles and arranged the dining table. Also scrubbed the stains off the counter and finally mopped the floors.

"I need to take a bath, these messes wearied me out," Jennie stated when she had finished cleaning the entire house.

She felt worn out and sleepy, comparable to having her soul ripped out of her body. Jennie entered the room, took off her Gucci woven leather boots, shearling coat, and the rest of the clothes off her body. She walks barefooted in the bathroom. There were more bloodstains on the shower glass. Except that the bathroom seems neat, and the tub was half-filled with rose petals water. Including her preferred products, Mario Badescu, Origins, L' Lavender, and Sake Bath, were next to the bathtub.

Jennie smirked, "All those messes happened because of me," she told herself, glancing at the lovely candles and roses around the tub.

Jennie took the heater and reheated the water. She lights the candles, and when the water got hot, she turns on the player and off the light. Placing her legs in the water, she slid her body into the tub. Shutting her eyes, Jennie felt fortunate and guilty that Jackson is her husband.

Jackson stops his car in front of his house, and Julie gets out before shutting the door. She smiled at him while Jackson turned off the engine and got out of the vehicle. They gazed at each other and burst out into laughter.

"I had the most excellent time tonight, and Steven is interestingly strange, do not give him confidence by informing him, regarding what I said,"  Julie told Jackson, twisting her hair as though she was dreaming about the time she spent with Steven.

"Believe me. Julie, you do not understand how accurate you are. It's still our secret," he told her.

The air was freezing, and they could see their breath.

"Since I have your assurance, I better take my leave. I appreciate tonight, thank you!" Julie told him and shyly walked away.

Jackson watched her until she entered her house next door. Then he went into his home and locked the door behind him.

Jackson realized the lights were on, and there was a sound of music coming from their bedroom. He ran upstairs, opened his room door, and entered it, leaving it close behind him. He noticed a female clothes folder on the bed and shoes by the side of the bed. Also, a Chanel "Diamond Forever" handbag on the table.

"Jennie!" Jackson thought, speeding into the bathroom and froze. There she was, laying in the tub covered in bubbles and wearing her shower cap.

"You hate getting your hair wet," he said in a whisper.

Jennie opens her eyes and tears roll down her chin. She turned her head and stared at her husband and laughed, "there you are, hubby. Do you need an invitation to get in?" As she spoke to him, Jackson sensed a rush of sensation coursing through his veins.

He chuckled and said, "Never, you do not have to tell me twice."

He nearly undressed when she asked him, "where have you been, you reek with alcohol!"

Jennie feels like she's about to burst out in tears. Her husband is right before her eyes. She can hold, touch, and kiss him. Jennie could not count the number of times she craved to smell his scent and wrapped her hand around Jackson's waist. Jennie stared at her man, and she instantly forgot countless times she cried herself to sleep or needed him to hug her to sleep. Her body did not feel tired now, compared to how worn it felt when she was waiting for her flight.

Jennie was at peace as she looked at Jackson. The night is beautiful to her, even though she is indoors. Yet, her mind is restless with pain, fear, lies, distrust, and hate running through her thoughts. What she pleaded for the most is for him not to notice how much she has changed.

A Lie Away From You   You broke me

"Triplets?" Chris shouted as he drove into the hospital parking lot. He was almost at the hospital when he got a call from doctor Christina. The moment he answered, she told him the news. "Yes, Mr. Ash. Miya is pregnant with triplets for your friend Jackson." Christina's voice echoed through the phone speaker. "That's good!" Chris said with excitement. "Mr. Ash, not to be disrespectful, but I don't think this situation is good. Miya is happy about this news because she believes that the kids belong to her husband. Yet I am deceiving her." "Then what should we do? Tell her the truth and have her abort the kids or go through with your original plan? However, these two plans end with these children dying, and that's not what we want. Right, Doc?" "Yes, Mr. Ash." "Okay! Since we are on the same page. I will be awaiting more updates from you."

A Lie Away From You   Triplets

"Hello, Dr. Christina." Miya softly utters when she enters the doctor's office before shutting the door. Christina smiled and signaled her to take a seat, so she approached the desk and sat down in the chair. "How are you doing today, Miya?" Christina asked as she stared at Miya with gentle eyes. "Except for my boobs feeling sore, me regularly feeling tired, the morning sickness, me having vivid and strange dreams, the stomach cramps, me developing an uncanny sense of smell, and all the other thing that comes with being pregnant, I am doing pretty well today, doc. Thank you for asking." Miya said with a jovial expression. "Haha, the joy of entering motherhood. Where is your husband?" Dr. Christina asked when she noticed that Miya was alone. "Ho, he's waiting in the car. Lucas is not a big fan of hospital smells, so I told him to stay in the car." Miya said as she tried to force a

A Lie Away From You    In need of change

Lucas pulled over and stopped in the hospital parking lot. Then he rested back against his seat. "Are you not coming in?" Miya asked when she saw Lucas closing his eyes. She knew that the answer to her question was clear, yet she still had a bit of hope that she would get a different response. "Why should I come inside? I am not the one pregnant." Lucas replied with his eyes still shut. "But Dr. Christina told me the other day over the phone that she will be performing an ultrasound today. Don't you want to see the kid?" Miya said as she tried to sound calm even though she was getting pretty upset inside. "I will see it when it comes out. It's not even completely formed yet, so what's the point of seeing it?" Lucas stated with less care in his words and more arrogance. "Okay, then. See you later." Miya stated. She bit her lip and he

A Lie Away From You   Unspoken words

It has been exactly eight weeks since Miya's last visit to Dr. Christina's office, and today she had another visit to the hospital. She and Lucas had forgotten about their fight. Nonetheless, they had interacted little in the past few months because Luca was not thrilled that she was pregnant, nor cared to ask how her pregnancy was coming along or showed concern for their unborn child over the months. Lucas had never been of much help to her during the past few days. So Miya was kind of shocked when he offered to take her to the hospital. Yet she did not make any fuss about his offer since she was not in the mood for an argument. She and Lucas sat in his car as he drove her to the hospital, and none of them felt like talking. Miya kept her eyes focused on the window. She had her right hand resting on her tummy. Although her stomach was not huge yet, she almost certainly felt pregnant on the inside.

A Lie Away From You   She's more than a stranger

Two weeks later, Miya took the bus to get to the hospital to avoid the incident that happened between her and her husband the other day. So far, they had not spoken many words to each other since the day of their argument. Lucas did not stop his smoking and drinking, but that was not Miya's primary focus. She had been feeling a bit weird in recent times, and she could not wait to meet with doctor Christina to give her the results that she had been eager to hear for weeks. Miya felt afraid to do the home test since she was reluctant to find out the report on her own. After a few minutes, Miya got seated in the Dr. office, and she nervously stared at Doctor Christina. "Good morning, Miya. How are you feeling on this beautiful day?" The Dr. said. "I feel good, but I have been experiencing an increased need to urinate, and I have been feeling a bit nauseous in the morning these past day

A Lie Away From You   It's late for repentance

“Excuse me, sir. Are you ordering from the menu?” The waitress said as she looked down at Steven. Steven took one last look at the menu before he laid it down on the peach table cloth and turned toward the waitress. “I will have cornbread and tea.” He said. The waitress then turned her head and focused on Chloe, who remained seated opposite Steven. “How about you, miss? Can I get you anything?” She asked. Chloe gazed at Steven, who was not paying much attention to her, then looked back at the waitress. “I will have the same thing he had order.” Chloe replied. After the waitress left to get their order, Steven and Chloe sat in their seats quietly as they waited for the next person to say something. However, neither of them spoke until the waitress came back, served their food, and left them a

A Lie Away From You   The accident

Jackson stepped out of the plane, and the sunlight graced his face with its golden light. A few minutes later, he was at the Sheltair Aviation JFK building's front entrance. His hand reached into his bag, took out his phone, and turned it on. The mo

Floor seven did not make a sound as the couple gazed at each other. Jackson's eyes were red with hurt when he looked at Jennie and the baby in her hands. "Is he Leon's son?" He said in tears and anguish. "Hubby, I can explain. I swear this is not how I wa

A Lie Away From You   The biggest surprise of her life

Working hours flew by quickly, and it was five o'clock on the dot. Steven and Julie had an afternoon date, so Jackson did not have to drive Julie to their residence. He arrived home and turned on the lights. As the house lights up, Jackson feels bitter inside. History had rep
